MUMBAI: Developer Hiranandani Constructions on
Tuesday said people are being lured by “miscreants” for securing
allotment of concessional flats in its project at Powai. “The
concessional-value homes under the HC order are only available for
government employees,” an official said.
The high court had stopped the developer from going ahead with building luxury apartments till the builder completed constructing affordable homes. The judgment was on a PIL filed by activists, who said that the developer had flouted a 1986 tripartite deal with the state and the MMRDA which allowed the builder to develop 230 acres in Powai and construct affordable houses and hand over part to the state.
